Turn an old book into a new purse
I love stuff made out of books! I don’t think I would use it as a clutch but it would make a keepsake box.

Building a Tardis. We got this new fridge which was delivered in a huge boxing. I said for fun to my hubby “Oh, let’s build a Tardis!” And he was like. “Yes, why not.” So this is our 2 day work result.
Totally Awesome!
My Doctor Who Quilt is done!! I promised I’d give a very basic DIY when I was done…so here it is!
Each square is 6 inches by 6 inches. The Quilt is 9x10 squares.
1. I self printed half of the squares using the freezer paper print method- you can make your own t-shirts this way too- beware that you can only make 2 from each stencil so it takes a very long time! How To Do Freezer Paper Printing
2. For the ones with David Tennant’s face on it- I bought a “print your own fabric squares” package at Jo-Anne fabric and printed them on my own home printer. One package of 4 sheets of paper is about $5
3. For the tardis prints (and some of the David’s face) I ordered the fabric from Spoonflower and from this girl from Etsy!
I just sewed them all together, bought some batting for quilts from Jo-Anns and 4 yards of fabric to make the edges and the back and then sewed those to the squares. The whole project took me about two weeks to put together (printing your own fabric takes so long).
Due to the cost of the fabric/paint/making your own fabric/expensive spoonflower prices I estimate the quilt costed me just about $100 to make (but I found out you can buy cheaper plain fabric at Walmart- so check that out!!)
This is a cool blanket! To the original maker, Great Job! You should sell these on etsy. I don’t think I have the energy to make one myself but I love spreading the world of DIY.
